The kids enjoy this holiday just as much as any other. I figured out that is because they get to eat. Any day they get too eat a lot is good for them. Having two growing boys I am about ready to take on a part time job just to keep the refrigerator full. I know if I want anything for myself I literally have to hide it.
We have several guests coming to the house and my son who is creative and artistic wanted to entertain with a puppet show. Yeah, not going to happen. We don't need finger puppets dancing around everyone making funny voice noises. I also didn't think dingy gray socks with holes in positions where there should be the head and drawn on eyes would look too great either.
He put on his thinking cap because I had shot down every idea of his to entertain our company that was coming. Well, this morning when I got up I was greeted by this lovely creation. It his own version of a turkey made out of legos. It is nice to see that the legos that haven't been vacuumed up can still create a functional product. I absolutely love his creativity and the use of his own little brain to design it.
Happy Thanksgiving!
